Nepalomyia tianlinensis Zhang and Yang, sp. nov.

Nepalomyia tianlinensis Zhang and Yang, sp. nov. (Figs. 8–11) Diagnosis. Belonging to henanensis ­species group. First flagellomere with obtuse lower apical corner. Face somewhat wide. Cercus with distinct basal tubercle. Description. Male. Body length 3.7–3.8 mm, wing length 3.7–3.8 mm. Head dark metallic green with gray pollen. Face somewhat wide, nearly as wide as first flagellomere. Hairs and bristles black; postocular bristles black, with postero­ventral hairs pale. Ocellar tubercle weakly raised, with 2 strong oc. Antenna (Fig. 9) blackish; first flagellomere 0.9 times as long as wide, with obtuse lower apical corner; arista dark brown, long, with rather short basal segment. Proboscis dark brown with black hairs; palpus black with black hairs and 1 black apical bristle. Thorax dark metallic green with gray pollen. Hairs and bristles black; 6 dc (1 st dc weak), 6–7 irregularly paired acr; 1 ph, 2 npl, 1 sa, 1 pa; scutellum with one pair of strong bristles. Propleuron with 1 black bristle on lower portion. Legs yellow; all coxae yellow, mid coxa with a blackish dot on postero­dorsal corner, tarsi from tip of tarsomere 1 brown to dark brown, fore tarsus somewhat pale. Hairs and bristles black; fore coxa with 5–6 apical bristles, mid coxa with 1 anterior bristle, hind coxa with 1 outer bristle. Fore tibia with 3 apical bristles; mid tibia with 2 ad, 2 pd, 1 very short pv and with 4–5 apical bristles; hind tibia with 3 ad, 3 pd and 2 apical bristles. Hind tarsomere 1 with 1 v at base. Relative lengths of tibia and 5 tarsomeres LI 1.35: 0.7: 0.5: 0.4: 0.3: 0.2; LII 1.7: 1.0: 0.6: 0.5: 0.35: 0.2; LIII 2.15: 0.5: 0.9: 0.6: 0.4: 0.3. Wing (Fig. 8) hyaline, slightly tinged with grayish; veins dark brown, costal section basal to h thickened, R 4 + 5 and M nearly parallel distally; CuAx ratio 0.53. Calypters dark brown, with black hairs. Halter yellow. Abdomen dark brown with gray pollen. Hairs and bristles black. Male genitalia (Figs. 10–11): surstylus with thick dorsal lobe bearing 4 short apical hairs and narrow ventral lobe with distinctly curved apex; cercus basally with one group of 4 hairs on distinct tubercle; postgonite invisible in lateral view; hypandrium rather thick basally and narrowing toward apex; aedeagus slender with slightly curved apex. Female. Body length 3.2–3.3 mm, wing length 3.0– 3.3 mm. Similar to male. Type Material. Holotype male, China: Guangxi: Tianlin, Langping, Linaoshan (1300m), 14.VIII. 2002. D. Yang. Paratypes 3 males, 2 females, same data as holotype. Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality Tianlin. Comments. This new species is similar to N. chinensis Yang from Zhejiang and N. henanensis Yang, Yang and Li from Henan, but may be separated from N. chinensis by the first flagellomere 0.9 times as long as wide and a geniculate cercus with a short basal portion, and from N. henanensis by the cercus with a distinct basal tubercle. In N. chinensis, the first flagellomere is 0.7 times as long as wide, and the geniculate cercus has a long basal portion (Yang, 2001).
