Competition as a phenomenon and the competitiveness of economic entities as a result of rational management decisions are the main features of a market economy. The intensification of competition in the direction of intensifying the struggle for resources and markets stimulate business structures to find such forms and mechanisms of their development that would provide them with significant advantages over competitors. Regardless of the form in which the business structure operates, it is a social entity, the goals of which are formed not spontaneously, but managed under the influence of the needs of certain groups of consumers. On the one hand, these needs reflect the specific needs of consumers of goods and services, and, on the other hand, the individual and collective interests of owners and managers of business structures. Owners and managers of business structures achieve their goals by meeting the consumer needs of a particular market segment. Given the above, the management of the business structure is a managed process that requires constant monitoring and consideration of changes in market demand to ensure the timeliness and completeness of the implementation of strategic, tactical and operational development plans. The article substantiates the optimal combination of scientific approaches in the management of business structures that will provide the maximum level of information in decision making. According to the results of the study, it was found that the management of business structures, today, requires management to combine different scientific approaches that will help in obtaining reliable management information. Substantiation of information requests of managers is a prerequisite for the most successful combination of selected approaches to the management of business structures
