Remarks. In addition to Russian Far East material of S. longulus, we studied specimens from Western Europe, Central Asia and Siberia. Variablity of this species is limited and mainly evident in density of body punctures and the size of velvet-like areas on male flagellomeres. Male and female specimens from Japan identified as S. amakusensis by K. Mitai proved to be S. longulus, and description (Yasumatsu & Hirashima 1951) and redescription (Mitai & Tadauchi 2013) of S. amakusensis also indicate identity with S. longulus.
