This deliverable gives an overview of the model-based prognostic approach developed by UFC for the PEM fuel cells system (stack and BoP). The system model is developed under the Energetic Macroscopic Representation, EMR formalism, integrating the ageing behavior of the BoP key elements, such as the stack and the air supply unit. The different algorithms are presented and the remaining useful life (RUL) is defined for each key element. The strategies and hypothesis adopted for the RUL evaluation are discussed. The developed algorithms will be tuned with the experimental data provided by BEG and EK and software implementation will be presented in the next deliverable (D2.2)
