ABSTRACTThe outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has evolved into a global pandemic and has posed significant threats to health and the economy worldwide. It can manifest from mild disease to severe respiratory failure requiring intensive care management. Currently, there is no sufficient evidence that any existing drugs can effectively treat SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia though supportive care remains the mainstay of treatment.
