This Bachelor’s thesis investigates decisions affecting dividend distribution policies in publicly listed companies in Finland. The purpose of the thesis is to provide insights for investors about various ratios and reasoning of how policies are determined. The research was conducted by sending quantitative webropol questionnaire to 75 publicly listed companies’s management or finance department. In second phase desktop research was performed to 13 companies where financial statements were analysed for 3 year review period from 2019 to 2021.
