There are various approaches available for the durability design of non-metallic reinforcement in concrete, such are ACI 440.1R-15, BISE-99, CHBDC-07, NS3473-98, and JSCE-97.These available design approaches are very general and consolidate all effects into a single factor for each type of Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) material depending on the type of fiber, which does not actually resemble the real concrete service life. Thus, more reliable design approaches are in need and have been developed in recent years which tried to simulate real-life conditions.
