The Repertorio italiano-salentino (vol. III, pp. 1075-1159) which concludes Gerhard Rohlfs’ Vocabolario dei dialetti salentini is an extraordinarily effective and complex instrument. In this work, two concepts are studied in depth, the denominations of the swing and the game of knucklebones. In conclusion, the extraordinary attention paid by Rohlfs to the naturalistic sciences is deepened
