In addition to her teaching and academic work, Davis is also the editor of Policing the Black Man: Arrest, Prosecution, and Imprisonment, a new collection of essays on the impact of the criminal justice system on African American boys and men. Davis will be joined by one of the book’s contributors, Sherrilyn Ifill, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and member of the Open Society Foundations Global Board.
