Analisis Potensi Dan Strategi Pengembangan Agribisnis Sapi Potong Melalui Sistem Integrasi Sapi Dan Kelapa Sawit Di Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi Provinsi Riau

Animal husbandry has considerable potential and opportunity to be developed because it is supported by agro-climatic conditions in accordance with various livestock commodities, human resources, the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, the existence of supporting institutions such as universities, banks, livestock companies and a large market potential including in there are export opportunities for livestock commodities. This study aims to analyze: (1) potential development of beef cattle agribusiness integrated with oil palm plantations in Kuantan Singingi Regency, (2) Development Strategies of beef cattle agribusiness that integrate with oil palm plantations in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study was used a survey method.Research location was determined purposively with the reason that Kuantan Singingi Regency is one of the regencies in Riau that cattle and has the potential for developing integrated oil palm. Respondents in this study consisted of breeders, the Department of Agriculture, and Bappedalitbang, where the sample of beef cattle breeders was taken as many as 50 beef cattle breeders, while respondents from related parties such as the Agriculture Office and Bappedalitbang were chosen purposively, namely one each person. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The analysis used descriptive quantitative and qualitative with the method of the Capacity Increase of the Population of Domestic Livestock (KPPTR) and SWOT Analysis. The results showed: (1) the ability of oil palm land resources in Kuantan Singingi Regency to provide forage and concentrate showed a very high potential with a forage KPPTR value of 283,961 ST/year and KPPTR concentrate of 205,002 ST/year. (2) The strategy for developing SISKA-based beef cattle agribusiness in Kuantan Singingi Regency that can be implemented is: (a) Forming an integrated beef cattle agribusiness cluster, between PKS as a concentrate feed provider, beef cattle breeder, livestock market, and fertilizer processing industry; and (b) Forming a farmer-PKS partnership with the Plasma Core Scheme (PIP) and the Agribusiness Operational Cooperation (PKOA) scheme
