The purpose of the research is to know the effect of promotion on student decision making in choosing private universities riau islamic university in SMA Kecamatan Singingi. It is a descriptive research with quantitative aproach. The population of this research the third grade os senior high school students who is in social program in Singingi regency on 2019/2020 of academic year. The amount of students is about 117 students. The students are from SMA Negeri 1 Singingi and SMA Negeri 2 Singingi. The researcher use questionare and observation as the instrument of the research.
