Peranan Sektor Pertanian Dalam Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja Di Provinsi Riau

The agricultural sector plays an important role in the economy of Riau Province. This study aims to: (1) find out how big the role of the agricultural sector is in the economy of Riau Province, (2) whether the agricultural sector has a large multiplier effect on the agricultural sector, (3) analyze how big the shift in the growth of the agricultural sector workforce in Riau Province and (4) analyzing employment in the agricultural sector for the next five years. The method used in this research is a literature study with a location in Riau Province. The data used are secondary data, namely PDRB data and data on the number of labor force working according to 17 business fields during the 2015-2019 period which were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Riau Province. Data were analyzed using Location Quotient (LQ), multi-effect effects, Shift Share and Projection. The results show that based on LQ analysis, (1) The role of the agricultural sector in labor absorption in Riau Province in 2015-2019 shows a value of> 1, meaning that the agricultural sector in Riau Province is a basic sector, meaning that the agricultural sector in Riau Province has been able to absorb labor. local. (2) The agricultural sector provides a multiplier effect which increases during the analysis year. (3) The growth of the agricultural sector in Riau Province from 2015-2019 experienced a shift (total change) of Rp. 20,307. Where this means the growth in the number of workers in the agricultural sector in Riau Province is classified as progressive (advanced) growth. (4) Based on the results of the pure forecast projection, the projection results of the number of workers in Riau Province will decrease every year
