Bioretention is the process when the contaminants and sedimentation are removed from the storm water runoff. Bioretention can be the alternative for runoff treatment before it discharged into the waterways. This is because bioretention can remove the pollutants through filtration, adsorption and precipitation. In this study, the author will examine the water quality parameters, particularly on the Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Ammonia in a column cell study of bioretention system. Besides that, the author will examine the physical properties of the vegetation plants throughout the study.
