Road traffic represents one of the major sources of air pollution in urban areas, and substantial effort is devoted the development of technological and transport policy measures to reduce its impacts. To determine whether ambient air quality standards are exceeded, a variety of atmospheric dispersion models are employed to predict vehicular pollution effects.
