This project is about the effect of non-Newtonian properties of blood flowing in the human artery. The human artery focused in this project is the brain artery and the disease under investigation is the cerebral aneurysm. A cerebral aneurysm occurs as a result of the bulging of artery in human brain. A severed aneurysm will cause rupture and hence internal bleeding to the brain which to some extend will be fatal. The main contribution factor to the rupture is predicted to be caused by the Wall Shear Stress (WSS). Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is used to predict the WSS and the non-Newtonian properties of blood is studied by using Power law model, Herschel-Bulkley model, Carreau model and Cross model
