The failure of most brittle components can usually be traced to the presence of flaws either within the component or, more frequently, on the surface of the component. Generally, the internal flaws are usually a result of the manufacturing route whereas surface flaws result from component machining, handling, and deployment. Ceramic materials are being used for high temperature application and structural applications. When the ceramic material is exposed to high temperature, it could change the behavior of the ceramic material
