The failure analysis o the wire rope for the lifting equipment is the project based on the real life case study. The lifting equipment is the pedestal crane that widely used at the offshore facilities. This report contains the detail explanation on the project. The objective of this project are to find the factors that lead to the failure and to find the best practice on handling wire rope for safety and to reduce the downtime of the pedestal crane due to wire rope failure.
