A CO2 absorption system with amine based solvents is the most common technology for CO2 removal today. CO2 must be removed from the flue gas purposely to manage future climate changes since carbon dioxide is a major greenhouse gas. In this project, the amines have been studied to see their degradation by biological and thermal. Amines also have been studied to see the effect of their different type and concentration on the corrosion rate of the metal.
