This text is a compilation of the trajectory of research interests on reading, image, visual discourse and children's literature and education, carried out from the perspective of semiotic studies, developed over two decades, with partnership to the Universidade de Caxias do Sul, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and the Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação e Arte. The theoretical bases approach the fields: education as a complex phenomenon, mediation sustained in dialogue, reading as a constitution of subjectivity and literature as an artistic text.
