This paper aims to demonstrate students' perception about the use of social media in learning English. The impact of social media for learning English is determined by an online survey, which was conducted from students with random division of male and female. Results of this survey shows that most of the female student respondents from both private and public sector schools consider social media as essential part of their learning process. The most popular social media forums used by students includes Edmodo, Google Plus, Google docs and YouTube.
