This study analyzes the relationship between perceived emotional intelligence (PEI) and different psychopathologies in adolescents enrolled in Comunidad de Madrid. It was expected that the higher PEI, the lower psychopathology and higher self-esteem and wellbeing. Using the correlational method, in a sample of 92 adolescents (53 boys and 39 girls), PEI was measured with the Trait Meta-Mood Scale-24 (TMMS-24), and the Questionnaire for the Assessment of Problems in Adolescents (Q-PAD) evaluated body dissatisfaction, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, interpersonal problems, family problems, uncertainty about the future, psychosocial risk, and self-esteem and well-being.
