STRATEGI PEMENANGAN CALON LEGISLATIF PEREMPUAN PADA PEMILIHAN LEGISLATIF KABUPATEN JOMBANG 2019 (STUDI PADA PARTAI PERSATUAN PEMBANGUNAN KABUPATEN JOMBANG)

This study aims to find out what strategies are carried out and applied to win female legislative candidates in the legislative elections held in Jombang Regency. Jombang Regency itself is an area that is still quite patriarchal. Without strategic planning, it is impossible to win in the 2019 legislative elections. This study uses qualitative research methods with a descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through interviews. This study uses the approach proposed by Peter Schroder 2010, regarding political strategy. The results of this study describe several strategies used in handling female legislative candidates, including (1) the strategy of the supporting party providing support from the village level to the DPC level, by facilitating legislative candidates in collecting votes. (2) There is an approach taken by female candidates directly to the community, especially those who have become the target of gaining votes. (3) Women candidates themselves do a lot of campaigning against women because women have high loyalty, such as holding regular recitations or participating in Muslim activities in their chosen area
