KETIDAKADILAN GENDER PADA SISTEM KAWIN TANGKAP MASYARAKAT SUMBA DALAM NOVEL PEREMPUAN YANG MENANGIS KEPADA BULAN HITAM KARYA DIAN PURNOMO (KAJIAN KRITIK SASTRA FEMINIS)

Gender inequality is one of the common unresolved problems. One of the novels that addresses gender inequality is Dian Purnomo's novel Woman Crying To Bulan Hitam. Based on this, the objectives of this study are (1) to describe the form of gender inequality in the Sumbanese marriage capture system, (2) to describe the impact of gender inequality on women in the Sumbanese capture marriage system. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method with a feminist literary criticism approach. The data source of this research is the novel Woman Crying To Black Moon by Dian Purnomo by paying attention to data quotes, sentences, and story units contained in the novel. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it is concluded that in Dian Purnomo's novel Women Crying to the Black Moon found several forms of gender inequality in the Sumbanese marriage and capture system. These forms are (1) stereotyping, (2) marginalization, (3) subordination, and (4) acts of violence. In addition, the impact of gender inequality on women is (1) physical impact, and (2) psychological impact. Both of these impacts are experienced by female leaders because of gender inequality as a result of community construction
