Analisa Kepentingan Amerika terhadap Iran dalam penyerangan di Bandara Internasional Baghdad pada tahun 2020

This study discusses the phenomenon of the attack that occurred on January 3, 2020 at Baghdad airport. The attack that killed Iranian General Qasem Solaimani and the leader of Khataib Hezbollah by America using an unmanned drone led by President Donald Trump, the attack caused panic in the international community, Qasem Solaimani is one of the highest leaders of the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) organization which aims to maintain Iran's security based on Shia Islamic ideology. The author collects data through library studies taken from news, journals, and government websites as supporting evidence so that the data can be clarified validly. The purpose of this study is to analyze America's interest in the attack which is based on the National Interest theory by Donald N. Nuechterlain. Based on this theory, the author finds several factors of interest from the attack such as the interests of Defense, the interests of the Economy, the interests of the World Order, and the interests of Ideology. These 4 indicators of importance are the reasons why America carried out the attack on Baghdad airport
