[Resumo] Nos últimos anos tense prestado atención ao posible uso de complexos derivados de Mn2+ para a súa aplicación en imaxe por resonancia magnética (IRM), unha importante técnica de diagnóstico médico. Un dos factores a ter en conta para a avaliación da idoneidade dos ligandos é a estabilidade termodinámica dos complexos, a fin de que liberen a menor cantidade posible de Mn2+ ao organismo. No presente traballo, recadáronse 181 datos de constantes de estabilidade (valores de log K) de complexos de Mn2+, o que permitiu cuantificar a contribución dos distintos motivos estruturais dos ligandos á estabilidade dos complexos.
