Communication is highly important for human beings. We hypothesised that the family may have a large impact on communication styles of children and young people. We suggest that there could be a certain relation between communication styles within family and within the society. More specifically, we hypothesised that young people who learnt to use more constructive styles of communication with their parents may feel more confident and use more constructive styles of communication in social relations with others, also those belonging to the other community. Thus, they may show more propensity toward reconciliation than those youth who learnt less constructive styles of communication
