Effect of HAT inhibitors on once-formed galactose cataracts.

(A) Schematic illustration of the ex vivo experiment. First, cataracts were induced by incubating lenses for 2–4 days in medium containing 30 mM galactose. Next, inhibitors were added to one lens, and DMSO (vehicle control) was added to the contralateral lens. Both lenses were then incubated for another 2–4 days. (B) Position of the eyeball and lens.
