Climate change in north-sudanian and sub-sahelian zones of Burkina Faso : Comparison between producers’ knowledge and scientific knowledge. Coherence between farmers’ knowledge about climate change and its relevance to climate trends could allow drawing up sustainable adaptation strategies. Survey carried out in north-sudanian and sub-sahelian parts of Burkina Faso allowed to collect 16 indigenous indicators of climate change and to assess their reliability in comparison to the results of analysis of 23 appropriate climate variables.
