A factorial analysis of the 1972-73 line trappings in the Cevennes shows the importance of the high stratum cover and of the heterogeneity of the ground cover for the distribution of small mammals. A «synthetic» biotope is defined for the Fieldmouse (Apodemus sylvaticus [L.]) and the Bank-vole (Clethrionomys glaerolus [Schreber]).Les résultats des piégeages en l'gnes effectués dans les Cévennes au cours des années 1972 et 1973 ont été analysés.
