The status of the Little Gull Larus minutiis in the Camargue was studied from February 1971 to October 1974, on a monthly basis. Adult birds are seen regularly and frequently during the spring migration, in flocks of up to 1560 birds. During the summer, only a few subadults were seen ; all were moulting their head feathers. There is no large scale autumn migration, the few birds seen being first year birds. Only a small number of adults and juveniles are seen in winter time. Most of the Little Gulls (85 %) passing through the Camargue in spring feed upon Artemia salina in the salt-pans.Cette étude traite des observations de Mouettes pygmées faites entre le 1er février 1971 et le 10 octobre 1974, en Camargue.
