Abstract Introduction Cardiac disease affects an estimated 1%–4% of all pregnancies and is a leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality. There is a lack of data on the healthcare experiences of affected women to inform health service delivery and person‐centred care. This study sought to explore and understand the healthcare experiences of women with cardiac disease in pregnancy and postpartum. Methods This qualitative study used semi‐structured interviews with women who had cardiac disease in pregnancy or the first 12 months postpartum. Data were analysed using thematic analysis.
