The Risk Assessment of a Stringing Processing Line

Plan BThe purpose of this study wasto perform a risk assessment on the stringing processing line of a pallet manufacturing facility. The objectives of this study involvedconducting a comprehensive risk assessment on the stringing processing line as well as to provide cost effective mitigation tactics for any risks that are ranked as being extremely high and/or high in severity in relation to the selected risk assessment model. A pre-determined set of interview questions along with a job safety analysis form wasutilized by the researcher to gain a deeper understanding of not only the various process steps,but also risks that may be present at the equipment level and at the facility as a whole. After the onsite assessment wascompleted, the researcher utilizedthe information which was compiled throughthe onsitejob safety analysistemplate to prioritize the risks both before and after any suggested mitigation tactics would beimplemented. By completing the job hazard analysis exercise,the researcher wasable to objectively identify the risks that wereranked aseither high or extremely high and provide cost effective mitigation tactics for each of the identified risks
