The aim of the student's bachelor's thesis is to examine the circumstances surrounding the award of the imperial princely title to The Bishop of Prague, Henry Bretislaus, in a period context. The student will focus on the person of Henry Bretislaus himself and explore the issue of the simultaneous tenure of the Czech and Reich principalities as well as the Bishopric of Prague. The student will shed light on the move in the context of the tenuous relations between the Holy Roman Empire and the Czech Duchy at the end of the 12th century. Milevsky's chronicle of the abbot and chronicler Jarloch, the chronicler Ansbert's notebooks or the Czech Diplomat (CDB) will serve as sources for him
