The researcher applied the effect of using English song to teach vocabulary to class V students at SD Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Lumajang to find out how effective song in improving students' vocabulary mastery. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the use of song could improve students' English vocabulary mastery at SD Negeri 1 Wonoayu, Lumajang. The researcher used Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects of this study were 17 students of class V. The instruments used to collect the data were observation checklists, interview guidelines, and tests.
