ANALISIS KESALAHAN EJAAN PADA KARANGAN DESKRIPSI SISWA KELAS IV DI SDN 03 PAGAK

Elementary school students' writing skills are very important, as one way to improve literacy skills. Because writing is an activity to express thoughts systematically in expressing ideas or ideas. The research objectives are: a) describe capital letter errors, b) describe errors in the use of reading usage, c) explain errors in word sign writing. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were students of class IV at SDN 03 Pagak Malang Regency as many as 15 students. The research data is the result of students' descriptive essays with the themes of health, holidays, food, and animals. Data collection techniques include the results of student essays.The results of student essays found the following errors. The results of student essays found the following errors: (1) Writing capital letters, namely an error occurred at the beginning of the sentence, the name of the person, the name of the geography, the title of the essay, and kinship. (2) The use of punctuation marks, i.e. there is an error in the dot including the end of the sentence and a sign that should not exist. The semicolon punctuation error occurred in the detailing elements. Hyphenation errors occur in the repeat element. An interrogative punctuation mark occurs at the end of the interrogative sentence. (3) Word writing, that is, an error occurs in a word that is lacking or an inappropriate word
