PELAYANAN KESEHATAN PALIATIF PADA PERMASALAHAN BIOPSIKOSOSIAL PEREMPUAN PENGIDAP KANKER PAYUDARA

This study discusses palliative health services at the Batu City Baptist Hospital on the biopsychosocial problems experienced by women with breast cancer. Cancer is one of the diseases that causes the high mortality rate in Indonesia. The problems caused by cancer for sufferers are quite complex, from physical problems, social problems, economic problems, and psychological problems. The purpose of this study is to find out what are the biopsychosocial problems experienced by women with breast cancer and to find out palliative health services in handling biopsychosocial problems for women with breast cancer. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research, it aims to describe the efforts and roles of palliative health services for the palliative team of the Batu City Baptist Hospital. The research subjects in this study used a purposive method, where the determination was chosen with certain considerations and goals that were deemed to know about the palliative services carried out by the palliative team at the Batu City Baptist Hospital. The data collection techniques used in this study were in the form of deep interviews, observations, and documents. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The data validity technique uses source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that palliative health services are comprehensive health services for cancer. Palliative health services carried out by the palliative team of Batu City Baptist Hospital include assistance with medical problems, social problems, psychological problems, spiritual problems. The forms of care provided include medical care in the form of prescriptions, drugs, and wound care. Non-medical care is in the form of consulting the patient's condition, education about the impact and suggestions to help the patient's healing process, and providing spiritual support, by fostering the trust and confidence of breast cancer sufferers in all the treatment processes they go through
