Abstract

The article aims to discuss the historical process of struggle of rural social movements in Latin America and the construction of the concept of Rural Education. Built from bibliographical research and anchored in the principles of construction of historical knowledge through the traces left by the past. We chose to approach movements that had similar agendas of struggles: the struggle for land, for agrarian reform and for education, encountering Zapatismo in Mexico and the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) in Brazil.
