Background. Coeliac disease is the most common gastrointestinal immunological disorder in the western countries. Many adult patients present non-specific symptoms and signs of malabsorption such as chronic diarrhoea, anaemia, weight loss and abdominal distention. In non-specific and doubtful conditions, computed tomography is often the first medical examination performed. In a clinical practice, a critical review of computed tomography signs is therefore mandatory. Aims.
