This research aims to illustrate the factors, methods, and implications of Japanese Re-Militarization policies and their potential short and long-term effects on the proceedings of the American military in the East Asian region. Over a 4-month period, data was collected from a variety of primary and secondary sources to obtain a complete picture of the current situation, while considering the differing Eastern and Western perspectives. Through the research and findings, it can be argued that due to more than just external factors brought upon by foreign influences, but also cultural influences that overtime shaped political organizations and opinions, Japan’s Re-Militarization efforts pose to offset the current balance of power in the regio...
