When you think about updating state legislation, drunk driving laws may not be the first topic that comes to mind. Yet a new law in Utah has broken the mold. In every state but Utah, the legal limit for driving after drinking is a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08 grams per deciliter (g/dL). In Utah, however, legislators adopted a .05 limit instead.
