Background: Diabetes is a costly and serious health problem that is increasing markedly. The quality of care is a major issue among diabetic patients. This study aims to assess the quality of care provided to diabetic patients using the American Diabetes Association (ADA) indicators. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted using a retrospective chart review. The population was adult diabetic patients (type 2) who had attended the National Guard's primary healthcare centers, Makkah region, Saudi Arabia, from January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2018.
