We performed the analysis of bone samples from four patients during hip replacement surgery, three of them suffered by coxo-arthritis, while the other was affected by osteoporosis. Cubic samples were taken from the sliced femur heads of each donor. After microCT tomographic scanning and subsequent reconstruction with voxels of 11 μm, several morphological parameters were calculated in order to characterize the samples. Copyright © 2008 by ASME
