This study focuses on parental socialization goals shaped by the environmental sociological imagination theoretical framework between Beijing and Hong Kong in China, and the United States. We have developed a culturally inclusive quantitative coding manual to analyze the qualitative interviews we completed. The current study included 30 European American and 32 in each Beijing and Hong Kong, with mothers of mean age of 35.67 years. They are primarily well-educated, with most of them holding a college degree and having a high annual household income.
