This paper proposes a comprehensive simulator developed in Matlab for a photovoltaic (PV) module. The main contribution of this work is the use of single and double diode model to represent a PV module. To search extra internal parameters that are not provided by the manufacturers, such as Rs, Rp, Ipv, I01 và I02, we have provided numerical methods, suitably implemented to face the nonlinear nature of I-V and P-V curves of the PV output characteristics. The accuracy of the simulator using single and double diode models is verified by applying the data-sheet from manufacturers. Furthermore, the double-diode modeling approach is thoroughly evaluated by comparing the simulation results with the experimental data of a practical 310 W PV module ...
