Impoliteness Strategies Found in Akeelah and The Bee Movie

This study describes the type of impoliteness strategies found in Akeelah and the Bee movie. It also describes the differences of impoliteness strategies used by male and female in Akeelah and the Bee movie. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research with document analysis as the method to analyze the data. The result of this study shows that there are four strategies of impoliteness strategies used by characters in Akeelah and the Bee movie, and male and female speakers use different strategies of impoliteness. In this research, the writer found not all of impoliteness strategies used by the character on the Akeelah and the bee movie. There are only four strategies found in this research, namely bald on record impoliteness, positive impoliteness, negative impoliteness, and withhold politenes
