Studying A Model to Simulate Markets Rules for Thermal Power Plants in Electricity Market

Currently, Vietnam\'s electricity market is developing in the competitive electricity market. In the near future, Vietnam\'s electricity market will enter the competitive electricity retailing phase that will be piloted since 2021. However, the model used to solve the market is still simple and there are a few different types of offers. By studying the day-ahead market in Europe, the author shows how the price of thermal power plants involve in the electricity market in Europe through the use of Block order and some conditions (Minimum Income Condition, Schedule Stop Condition và Load Gradient Condition) related to submitted orders in Spain.Thereby, the authors point out the relationship between parameters of the thermal power plant to the types of offers and advantages as well as disadvantages of each type
