Encefalitis anti-NMDAR. ¿Cómo y cuándo sospecharla?

The prevalence of autoimmune encephalitis is uncertain, it mainly affects young people and children and the clinical presentation is variable. Autoimmune encephalitis is commonly confused with psychiatric pathologies, for this reason a high clinical suspicion must be had. The prognosis of these patients depends on the early start of treatment. We presents the clinical case of female, 21 years old, who presents 1 month evolution of altered behavior and hallucinations, in evolution develops headache and fever, and finally, she is diagnosed anti-NMDA encephalitis.La prevalencia de las encefalitis autoinmunes es incierta. Afecta principalmente a jóvenes y niños y la presentación clínica es muy variable. Se debe tener una alta sospecha clínica para las encefalitis autoinmunes ya que comúnmente se confunden con patologías psiquiátricas. El pronóstico de estos pacientes depende del inicio precoz del tratamiento. Presentamos el caso de una mujer de 21 años, con alteraciones conductuales y alucinaciones de un mes de evolución, que desarrolla cefalea y fiebre.
