The dissertation is about the musical practices of an Amazonian lowland group, defining itself as the Teko people (formerly, the Emerillon), settled to the east of the French Guiana, at the confluence of the Oyapock and Camopi rivers. It first studies the orchestras of tule clarinets, a musical form presented as an old and endogenous one. It then reviews amplified and imported musical genres (zouk, konpa, reggae and rap), which are played during drinking gatherings on sound systems, or sung and recorded by some young musicians. This ethnographic research seeks to depict the significant movements of a musical, festive thought driven by the notions of fluidity, repetition and abundance.
