The tokamak is one of the promising systems developed to harness fusion energy. A tokamak is a toroidal chamber in which a hot plasma is magnetically confined. For tokamaks to function properly, it is desirable that the plasma remain in an equilibrium configuration. Confinement failures, called disruptions, are unavoidable and undesirable events of plasma instabilities occurring in tokamaks that can degrade the performance of a tokamak and severely damage the tokamak walls.
