Primarily a trombonist, he worked with such artists as Claude Hopkins, Fats Waller and the Luis Russell Orchestra under the direction of Louis Armstrong. Mosley played mostly in the New York area into the late 1970s, including a regular engagement at the prominent Frolic nightclub.
